NEED FOR ONSITE PORTABLE WATER - PROPOSED DEEP WELL CONSTRUCTION

Since inception, the Boate School has not had any water standpipe on-site and the source of portable water has been a shallow well located about a mile away. The students have to walk he distance every day to fetch water and carry it back to the school for drinking and washing of hands. Above pictures show some of the kids and one volunteer, now Dr Nicole carrying water from the shallow well.
We plan to install a deep borehole on-site to produce portable water from the aquifer for the school. In addition to the Deep Well installation, the infrastructure will also include a 5000 Litre (1,100 gallon) overhead Polytank Storage with necessary support to facilitate supply by gravity. Our initial estimated cost is about $5,000.00 (GHC29,500.00) which will include Hydrogeological studies, all construction and installation works as well as Water Quality Testing.

Your partnership with us and contribution to this project will help us get good drinking water for the kids and safer hygienic provisions in this COVID-19 era.
God bless you for your kind support.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the imminent effect on many communities around the globe, it is apparent that places with resource strapped economies face a greater risk to their health systems. Therefore, there is an urgent need to address the supplies deficiency in these countries and communities.

Gateway of Hope Inc. (GOHInc), a duly registered Charitable Organization based in Florida, has been engaged in humanitarian work in Ghana over the last 15+ years. During this time, GoH has committed itself to Medical and Dental Outreaches, Women’s Health, Youth Empowerment, and Educational Ventures (including sponsorship of a 230 student Community Mission School in Boateh, Eastern Region).  Given our awareness of the current need in Ghana, especially in rural and indigent urban communities, we feel strongly about raising funds to procure needed medical supplies for the management of the COVID-19 health challenge in Ghana. This campaign will augment the current efforts of the Government and other

entities that are assiduously working to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are reaching out to the Ghanaian Diaspora and friends of Ghana who can help to donate towards this initiative. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to procure Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), Surgical and N95 Face Masks and Gloves for Medical Personnel on the frontlines of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Whereas we have been strapped to our seats at home due to lockdowns and self-quarantine directives, we have an opportunity to take tangible action and do something to help Ghana!

We are seeking to raise $20,000 for this initiative. Will you join us in whatever way you can? Together, we can save lives.

Thank you in advance for your support in helping us provide these supplies for the unsung heroes combating the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana.

Each year, the children at Boate school each receive lovely wrapped Christmas gift boxes from friends in the USA around Christmas time. The kids are very excited to receive  box filled with toys, toiletries, school supplies, T-shirts, and underwear. They are grateful for the love shown to them.
